May's Photo Challenge

This is our third month of challenges. This month is simply entitled 'Close Up'. You can interpret this in any way you want, this can include macro, but anything close is good. Pictures don't need to be underwater, this is open to our none diving friends too.

The rules are the same, one entry per day, no wider than 640pix and remember we are a family site!

some very good close ups so far - but I know you all have more!

Don't think about pictures in 'micro', images can be just be anything as long as there is some tenuous link to the catergory. So for that that reason I thought today I would go 'extreme'

This baby Moray eel was taken as we left the HMS Moari in Valetta. It was well hidden but I managed to 'encourage' out a little.

Closer than usual

As close as I dare get, didn't want to go and see the great 'crocodile hunter' in the sky.....

once again taken in the North Sea at St Abbs. Again this picture as had no post-editing, just straight of the Fuji F30. These compact cameras have not just good macro capabilities, but being able to change to B & W underwater adds another dimension to anyones photography.

Todays picture is more of a 'show and tell'.

The main picture is a close up of 'bird of prey' working on the TV set of 'Where the Heart is'. I've included a couple of smaller ones to make up more of the story. They always say - never work with children or animals, shame that Denise van Outen had to work with me!
