May's Photo Challenge

This is our third month of challenges. This month is simply entitled 'Close Up'. You can interpret this in any way you want, this can include macro, but anything close is good. Pictures don't need to be underwater, this is open to our none diving friends too.

The rules are the same, one entry per day, no wider than 640pix and remember we are a family site!

Mr Bercovitz
was
an industrialist who employed Dr Doelter to lead
a team to develop the mass production of a zipper
designed
by Mr Mulka

So you have the B-D-M zipper, with a history going back to
1952. The name commemorates 3 men who struggled against great odds
to make a sealed zipper.

I believe they are manufractured in Manchester - BDM did have some ties at least.

These three pictures are to fit in with our up-and-coming trip to Lock Fyne at the weekend. These were taken on a very cold and blustery January dive.

This was taken on the Coryton wreck near to Lindisfarne on last years trip. It is of a baby crab in Ange's hands.

Todays image is again from St Abbs. A classic iconic picture of a wolf fish taken off big green carr. Talking of St Abbs, remember we are up there at August bank Holiday.

When you look back at the last three months of pictures - they are some truly amazing images. I didn't think this would work, but it does. Stats show this catorgory is top on our web site. The number of hits to these pages is unbelievable. The kind of hits we are getting according to forum owners are ranking us in the top 100 forums out of there 26,000 online forums they host around the world!

This forum is the voice of ProScuba - as a free dive group, we can make a difference. Have a look around at other clubs and groups, do they have such an active medium, as colourful and interesting as ours. Do they dive as often as us, do they have the diversaty we have, but still keep it as personal and informal as we do.

I want to really encougage divers to go and dive... You are all more than able to organise your own dives and promote them on here. This is our passion - lets embrace our sport and be the best at we do and and enjoy in a safe and enjoyable manner.
