Northwest Emergency Recompression Unit
Chamber - Dry Dive
Sunday 19th February

The plan was for a 50m DRY DIVE in the recompression chamber at North West Recompression Chamber in the Wirral today. The session started with an overveiw of what the chamber does and DCI for divers. Then it was down stairs to partake in the Dry Dive. I'll let other people tell you more about this.

to Pete for organising a great day out Smile

Ditto the big thanks to Pete for organising, it was a great trip - learning stuff while having fun!

Sorry to those that were short changed by 10m in the chamber due to my tricky left ear - got as far as 20m and then it refused to cooperate. Good job were weren't going to see a wreck at 50m I guess but a shame my blip stopped you guys reaching the bottom.

Nice to see everyone though, and nice lunch too taunt2 taunt2

A Fantastic day and a must see to all divers in my opinion, not just to experience the dry dive but to see the excellent work that goes into Hyperbaric medicine, not just for divers but many other applications.
Thanks to Pete for organising a fabulous day.

I believe jack wanted to give the other divers in the chamber a one off jack experience, you know the type no contingency and very little air.

Jack remember in our dive plan we plan to end the dive with at least a 50 bar air contingency !!!!

Jack just needs to dive in a chamber, he comes out with as much air as when he went in!
