| Better late than never... 9 dives in total. Dived the usual reefs around Ras Mohammed, Tiran and local house reefs and just to be different booked a days diving at Dehab. Shark Reef was its usual spectacluar self. The wall plummets to over 800m and always impresses me. Rather than going across the front of Yolanda reef we took the route over the col round the back. Loads of unicorn fish, batfish, morays, jacks, Napoleon wrasse, all the usual suspects were out in force. The trip to Dehab was well worth it but, I wouldn't recommend a holiday there, best sticking to the Naama Bay. That said, the 2 dives were well worth the trip. First up was the Canyon. This is a smal crack in the reef and entry is made through a hole just big enough for 2 divers at about 24m, you then enter a fissure that descends to 54m and is partially enclosed with sunlight coming through the small crack in the ceiling. Not much in the way of marine life but the enclosed space with sunlight coming through make this special. The Blue Hole although world famous is not, in my opinion, very good. There is very little marine life. However, after dropping down to 32m just to see there was nowt there we ascended 'slowly' and went for a swim along the outer reef. This is where the Blue Hole comes into its own as the reef is gorgeous with loads of hard and soft corals with shit loads of fish, very colourful. I thought Ras Ghazlani was special but this easily matched it. A couple of photos below. The White Tiped Reef shark was taken on Woodhouse Reef on Tiran, Turtle was on Ras Zatar and the toilets were on Yolanda Reef.
