Stoney Cove

The venue today was 'good old Stoney'. Ed, Doc, Jack and Rob and myself plunged ourselves into the darkness and poor viz for two dives.
The weather was kind yet again... Doc found the shop a real temptation (but i'll let her tell what she bought ) Myself I had two realy enjoyable dives, even if the viz was crap . Our second dive took me and doc onto the new wreck of the Defiant (Picture at top of page). Nice change and bit smaller than the stanegarth.

All in all a great days diving and great company, and thanks to Emma and penny for shore support

Yes but don't look at things as half empty, instead look at them as half full (Doc - will explain). Naughty Stoney Cove!!!!!!

Pappa - shore cover was by Emma & POPPY!!!!! (She will be upset that she didn't make enough of a impact for you to remember her name).

Great diving though and thanks for the company. So jealous that your pictures come out so clear. (mine are always so dull, green or blue). I want a white balance.......Boo Hoo!

No probs. She doesn't care really,..., she loves everyone!!!

Thanks to Rob who noticed, half empty would have no good for a 50min wreck tour with Smudge in water like pea soup

I'm sure both halves are full now.

You would have thought one of the Stoney members of staff would have checked the manifold valve was open before filling them wouldn't you ?? It was a bit rich them trying to blame us for not checking the manifold when they were brand new from the shop and carried over to the compressor room by one of their staff members !!!

Doc, I understand you completed your second dive with 50 bar remaining giving you a total gas consumtion of 3500 ltrs (given - twin 7's at 300). Had you dived with only one cylinder full you would have only had 2100 ltrs of air in total !!

I am sure you would have discovered this little issue during your pre dive buddy check ??

Another lesson learnt. It pays to check, check and check again..

I would have noticed it as I turned the valve open, I'd have been straight back to the shop myself with only 130 bar in them, and like you say one side hot, one cold. The boys in the filling station are a bit aren't they?
