Thank you guys, two great dives today.
Steve and Andy did dive one, doing dry suit specialty, while Lisa, John, Craig, Ivan (on shiny new twins) and myself did the hyrda box for a long awaited deep dive. Craig had to do a U turn as his ears wouldn't clear properly, so he met up with Steve and Andy and dry suit divers playing in the shallows. 40 minutes later Lisa and John made for home while Ivan and myself went to find some Pike on the 7mtr shelf another ten minutes and the cold got the better of us so back to shore for a freshly brewed pot of Rosie lee.
The usual Surface interval banter, and a quick appearance from Juan the Cuban porn star!! (I Pee on you Quick King)
The Second dive was planned on the back of the proverbial fag packet!!! A quick re-think from Craig who was still having trouble with hie ears due to the remnants of a cold and snotty nose, he went with Steve for dry suit Dive two. Mr W making up the fifth diver, but making it very clear he was not working
So Dori took the lead and impressed us all with bang on navigation (perfect my love xx).
Dropped straight on the anchor and followed this to till the right turn to the bus the back to the Staingarth, at which point we had planned to attempt the new PADeee inverted rapid ascent from 20mtrs to see who could get highest above the water, we just didn't have enough recoil in the spring! (Please note this is not a real specialty, nor should any diver attempt a rapid ascent, remember your training).
We had a swim through the Staingarth and on to the Defiant and Belinda then a steady return to the 7mtr ledge and homeward bound.
Post dive drinks and M1 north bound.............
Thank you to all who made the trip to Stoney and congrats to the to guys who I never did catch the names of, on completing your dry suit dives.
Now can't wait till next week and some salty stuff in Scotland.
