| Proscuba Tour oct 08Well it's that time of year the jolly trip to our friends out in Menorca. The sun was shining  , the water was hot all that was missing was a few people. :no: :no:
Due to certain constraints the normal gang could not all be there, some had come out early in the year, others moved out for the summer.
So it was with exitement and joy that the Moose and i set off from Manchester (in the rain and slightly lighter than normal, the engines on the plane didn't seem to struggle as much, on take off due to lack of weight No Names Mentioned  )
We arrived happy, greated by our frendly car hire company ( not you again!!) Got a freindly kiss from the sun, and made our way down the island to book in to the, Proscuba Menorcan Branch Office.
As we didn't have the normal gang, diving in the first few day's was intresting, i had to go all starwars, (you know the bloke who flys the millienem Falcon :scratch: ) Because of this i played safe and stuck to the usuall haunts, saying hello to all our underwater freinds. Who happliy took the time out for a quick photo of two.
On Friday Mr channer arrived late in the evening (horray a dive buddy at last :cheers: ) Unfortunatly for him the weather did it's normal menorcan thing of providing us with a few thunderstoms 
But on sat the weather turned nice again, so off we went to dive. I won't bore you with all the in's and outs, but we dived quite a few new sites, dived some of the old favorite sites, but with a twist and went off exploring like we've never explored before.( Well once Mr channer got out of bed that is  )
All in all a great weeks holiday was had by all, but i must just say the last dive that we did was a night dive, and i it was one of the best night dives i have ever done. I have done many night dives in this location, but none with as much life as this. We eventually got bored counting the octopuss, cuttlefish, Barracudca, so we had a look at a Ray, a big squat lobster, the likes no one had seen at this site ever, with the moon shining high it was with great disapointment, that it all had come to end.
Ah well be back next year. | |
