Seems like it was a pretty active Saturday.
Went RIB diving from Hornsea to a couple wrecks, only planned on doing the Longbenton so only had the one tank; any way shot positioning not very good and missed the wreck. On descent my buddy hadn't weighted correctly for the sea so had to wait a bit at 3M while the the others in the boat sorted him out (mine sorted by diving in the Farnes earlier in the week
). Down we went, saw where the shot had been dragged along the bottom and a couple of us tried to drag / carry it back along the rut it had made, very difficult and tiring since the tide was running. Aborted this dive having only seen sand and a few small hand sized crabs., plus lost my knife in all the hugging and tugging. Max depth 15.6 M
On to the Sub and decided to have a quick bounce dive with the 100 bar left in the tank.
Descended the shot (previously left by Scarborough bsac) straight onto the back of the sub. Saw massive crab wedged in the rear of the wreck, carried on to the bottom of the wreck and saw the biggest lobster I have ever seen. Bit of a battle ensued as I was trying to pull it out (I was sailivating thinking of dinner later), but the lobbie won
Couldn't stop and have a good look at the wreck which was very good condition almost intact, due to lack of air and the deco that was owed.
all in all very good dives. Max depth 26.2 M
Sunday was a day of from diving - didn't fancy the drive to Caperwray and the fight trying to get parked.
Up for an evening - de-salination - dive mid week though, onlya shore dive planned this Sunday but probably have to cancel due to the ankle injury still aching. So available Sat and Sun for puddle dives
