Right, for our first dive of the year we went to Stoney Cove:) originally our plan was to go to dotty, but because of Andy having to drop his in-laws off at east midlands airport we decided Stoney would be better.
After a bacon sandwich on arrival me and smudge decided our plan for dive 1 was to have a steady swim out over to the far west side
So off we set ,first seeing a aircraft wreck, then onto the wooden boat and then to the van
after that we started to head back , as we came up towards the tower at around 11 m there were loads of pike fish !
. Think i got around 22m depth and 46 minutes time (havent checked computer yet for exact times)
After fuelling up on more food we set off on dive 2, surface swimming out to the stanegarth bouy then dropping down just off the line. After a play around on that we went across to the defiant , (viz wasnt terribly good around some of this ) but managed to find our way thanks to smudge's navigation
. After the defiant we headed onto the wreck belinda. Then heading across seeing the wessex helicopter (i think ) then heading up onto the nautilus . Were smudge soon told us his dry gloves had leaked so we headed off to get out
. Max depth around 20m and a dive time of 30minutes.
Was my first time using poseidon regs and after my experience with them theyre quite different but good. Reccomend them to anyone!
Smudge took photos:) so he'll probs put them on tomorrow at a guess.
So anyway, Thank you to smudge for lift there and to andy for lift back! Good day & company as per usual!
. Good start to 2011
