As leader of latest venture to warmer waters, i thought i better start the ball rolling.

First day: 2 dives at Cirkewwa Point.

The first was been led, not by me but by our very own Jason! The plan was to go to the wreck of the Rozi. But a short time later we ended up on the P29!!!

Anyway here are few of my pictures of the First Dive.....

Admin Humor : still looking

Three dives today at Dwejra on Gozo. The first was a deep dive at the Inland Sea, the second was a longer route around the headland from the Inland Sea to the Blue Hole. Third was shorter dive from the Blue Hole to the Coral Gardens. Great dives yet again - but i'm missing the UK!

below is the inland sea - the arch is the tunnel leading to the open sea.

The team fighting for 50m - can you identify the long white stuff... these are eggs, your task is to work out 'of what'?

Trying to catch up, you just can't get time on the computer here, these are from yesterdays diving...

Today started of badly with Smudge on top of a cliff, then with the offer of a dive boat he cheered up and decided to come diving in Gozo.
With a pre-dive briefing in the car-park, no luxury of a classroom now, and look at the transport we have to squeeze into now, we finally got into the water MALTA April 2010 - Page 3 72708

On the ferry back Smudge tried to boost his income, getting passing young men to spare a euro or two MALTA April 2010 - Page 3 Herz

Meanwhile Tink provided masterclasses in the martial arts for cash, while Ange clutched her paper bag tightly, wishing she wasn't on a boat, and looking forward to the boat dive on Sunday MALTA April 2010 - Page 3 Kopfschuettel

Met up with Lexy and Jason today and repeated a 40m dive for Ange so she could enjoy this one...

The weather was against us today, we first drove out to Zonqor Point but too much swell, so we went next to Ghar Lapsi, only to discover the same problem. We settled again for Weid iz Zurrieq for 2 dives, first to the West Reef.

After lunch Smudge and I went to the Um el Faroud to the prop and then into the engine room.

I would like to say thankyou to everyone on this extended holiday. These are my holidays too, just like the rest of the group, but as organiser I still end up working, leading, guiding and making the decisions - but it is a change of venue that counts!

I just wanted to thank Smudge for his efforts these last 2 weeks, especially taking me down to 40m twice MALTA April 2010 - Page 3 201973

So far my deepest dives- atleast I enjoyed the second more as a result of not being quite so narc'd off my face MALTA April 2010 - Page 3 Icon_eek

Malta is definitely a place worth visiting again, hopefully with a little less wind and some more buddies!!! It was good to carry out wreck dives as I haven't done many before and in such good vis. As well as being a great break, I learnt loads and saw new creatures, so whens the next one????

As Smudge has said... Jason and I took full advantage of the extended holiday and headed off to Gozo for the second week of great diving, in different locations! Malta and Gozo have so many diving opportunities... a return visit is a must!

Loving all the pics that everyone has taken over the trip... its great to see peoples artistic flare!!!!

A few more of my pics to follow... including the big Octopus that we found! x
