| It was with great mystery and exciment, that on friday night 3 trepid explorers set off for a 7 hour van Drive (should have been 5 or 6 but more about that latter) 300miles + of winding hazzard filled roads lay ahead, not to mention smudge was driving. It was a late start, we set off at 8 in the evening due to other work comiments. All was fine for the first few hours, jolly banter, happy Karoke singing to help pass the time and to take our minds off the lane wondering driver. One of our group then started to suffer due to it beign past his bedtime . We pottered along nicely following our freindly sat nav lady, who we had only given a postcode to, She seamed to know where we where going. Should have known better!!!!!!!!!    WE hit Glasgow in good time, after avoiding the guns (no Joking ) and the sucidle Milk waggons, we got back out the other side, all that lay ahead was a few bendy mountain roads, or so we thought!!!We then had an argument, with the Lady giving us directions!!! but due to bad judgement or her persistance we followed her comands but something just didn't feel right. It was'nt untill we where looking for a sea loch above 1000feet  we deciced to ignore her. We consulted a propper sat nav, ( i just happend to have on my phone  )which laughed out loud and said she took you where????? This was clearly a man'ly sat nav, because he took through us down man type roads, down forest tracks and back roads untill he finaly got us back on track Eventually we arrived at our destination, a dark very quite caravan site (at sea level) with a number in our head the no 6. As this was to be our home for the next few days. Now the logical people among us assumed that the number 6 would be found arround NO 5 or No 7. But this is scotland. after many phone calls and probbally wakeing the entire campsite we found no 6, just in the entrance to the park no where near 5 or 7.    That was it TO BED with the words meet us at the harbour for 9 o'clock. More to follow................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... | |

| Well what can i say??? 6 Dives, 3 days , all off the Little Blue, A Boat, at first glance a small boat, but plently of room for 12 divers and two crew. Fab skipper Also a diver and very nice chap. check them out on Loch fyne dive charters. The Fyne is sea loch, and therefore tidal and slightly salty. We where diving out of Tarburt Harbour, a small fishing village. Unforunatly the wind casused us a few problems, i've never been vertical on a boat before. Hopefully smudge will load the videos of our rough seas. But due to the nature of the Loch there was always somewhere to dive. The water was 8 degrees which is a lot warmer than most inland sites this time of year. Even with the strong winds and tides the vis was very good, and the diving even better. Walls, Wrecks, History, Tresure finding, reefs, 5 types of crabs, lobster, dog fish, congers, octopus, starfish galore of all types, sea slugs, scollpes, flat fish, everything you cold want and much more. Deep, shallow, novice or experienced tec diver there was diving for all. Air fills to 300bar in the price, cylinder testing. Where do i stop :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: This place has everything for every diver, set to a fantastic backdrop.Sea diving in january..................... you have no idea what you are missing :!: :!: :!: The great thing about this place is you don't even need a boat. There is shore diving a plently, most of the dives we did at the weekend are possiable from the shore, and are just as good. i have no idea why i have never been hear b4. But one thing is for sure i will be back. The only downside is the drive, but i think it's more than worth it. I really carn't do this place justice with words,.....So you will have to go and see for yourselfs. The UK has so much diving to offer all year round, and not just at inland quarrys, so come on people come out and dive.... | |
