A few of us joined forces with RoHo Club today for a shake down dive and treasure hunt.
No winners as no buddy pair got to all the sites or guessed the name of that well known dive site the Chris Christensen wreck!


However a lot of good banter was had and the weather was brilliant  sunny 
Unfortunately the vis was the worst I have ever seen it - never found the Candida, tried twice!


Water also warming up nicely - 7 degrees!

Great to see Ian in his lovely new suit:

Good to be back in the water again. New equipment was fine - I managed a good deal from Otter for the drysuit - it was one they had made to measure for someone who then never came to collect it - can't understand why, but I'm not complaining!! They also threw in an undersuit and hood & gloves. New BCD & fins I got from Divers Warehouse. Fortunately, after inspection & servicing, the cylinders and regs had suffered only external smoke damage, so had no need to replace them, which saved a bit of money. Hope to be out again soon, but pretty busy at weekends for the next few weeks. Capers Treasure Hunt 976232  Capers Treasure Hunt 976232

Stacey and I seemed to have won along with buddy trio of Barry, Johny and Phil. A draw
So what do you spend £15 on at a certain shop? Answers please!!

Not a bad result as we went in on dive one and my Suunto compass froze - got 9 clues done by good memory and natural navigation in 2m vis. Then Stacey had a tooth squeeze, couldn't get down on dive 2 so I joined the trio above and collected a couple more clues....So collected most of the letters for an anagram for a wreck none of the 5 of us had ever heard of!

Fast dive times did help....bit of cramp today though
