Sorry this is so late but not had a lap top working so couldnt put the pictures on!!!
The family had a holiday in war torn T'gypt in August this year. The weather was very warm and sunny. We never saw any trouble. only armed check points on the main roads. All the Russians, Gerrys, spanish, french etc stayed at home - get in!!! most hotels were around 20-40% full
I had planned to do 4 days diving but t'gypt belly for a week put pay to 1 day!!!!
I dived at the Gardens, Jackson Reef and Shark and Youlander reefs with Red Sea College. Every day was different. The boats were empty on most days, other than shark/Youlander reefs.
At the Gardens on the surface, the biggest turtle went passed at about 10m below us. The shell was around 2.5m in diameter.
At Shark reef there was quite a current. This dragged us down to 30m in a few seconds. All the computers were going crazy due to diving on 34% Nitrox!!!
Also this is the first time that the bubbles didnt go to the surface. They were just in suspension around us - current going both ways!!!!
The last dive of the trip was the highlight - a 4m whale shark!!! unfortunately i didnt have the camera with me!!!!!!
I have put a few pics below -
