Two super dives yesterday. I am officially converted to the happy gas. What a difference a little He does to clear your head at depth. I have been through the tunnel a few times now all breathing air and just swim through on a mission. A little He in the mix and I saw things I have missed on all the other dives I have done. I also remember everything about the dive, the colours, paving slabs in the tunnel, the narcosis test, the focus on run times. As Doc said teh vis was awesome through the tunnel, like swimming through Gin !!!

After the surface interval fills we still had 20% He in the mix giving us clear heads for the second dive to 40m to the ledge, back up to the rear side of the 23m tunnel, through to the shelters and Merry Christmas sign before ascending slowly and completing our required stops.

All in all an excellent days diving. Thanks to all that turned up.

I'm going to miss Dotty whilst in New Zealand.

Mmm mixed gas twin sets etc your all going soft try 15 meters deeper on a single 12 now your talking lol
Just over an hour too with 50 bar to spare 15 mins below 40
Oh and we remembered it all especially the bloody big Tiger shark

PRO SCUBA does not condone diving beyond recreational limits but know that people do occasionally stretch the limits

Obviously members of this forum carry out their own activities outside of Proscuba and the depths / limits of their dives are of their own choosing and not necessarily endorsed or encouraged by Proscuba - ESPECIALLY when they go outside PADI standards ...

ha ha, if PADI have different recreational limits based on post-code then yeah, that applies. I shall personally petition them to excempt HD8 from fees

Just need to protect the Smudgmeister from the forum condoning or appearing by default to be condoning "beyond limits" diving. Nothing personal, everyone makes their own choices and I totally respect that , but it needs to be an individual choice and clear that this is not club policy if you get my drift

Jason, just to clarify, you went to 77 meters on 12litres of air (ie. 15 meters deeper than 62)??? ???

No wonder the tiger shark didn't eat you, was probably too shocked

I know Skies - all good. Totally understand where you are coming from.

I am shocked that any one would consider or suggest diving deeper than Rec dive limits unless appropriatly qualified!!!!!
