Smile busy weekend for diving which is great to see.

Sunday I was up at Capernwray doing a spot of training. Its was quite a busy day and the viz was a bit on the poor side. The water is warm, I was diving with no hood or gloves!

Congratulations to Rob on passing his PADI Open Water Course and to Jane on completing her first three dives Smile (see you next week for the last one). Barbara joined us for a little play and to get back in open water too.

Two of todays team are SPICE members so we took the oportunity to get some pictures with the fish.

Rob............. Jane ............. Barbara

Thanks to those helping out today - I cant do it without a team around

Thanks for the congratulations everyone.

Now I just need to make sure I get in the water again sometime soon.

I'm away on wargaming competition weekends 2 out of the next 3 weekends but would fancy trying Blue Lagoon very soon.

Rob - a group of us meet every Tuesday evening at Blue Lagoon for a dive after work, is that any use to you? We will be there over the summer months, meet at 6pm, in water between 6.30-8.00pm.

Tonight with the experienced Ian leading we did find the plane. It is very warm in there and the fish are very active - apart from the two ugly ones under a platform...

I may take you up on Blue Lagoon very soon.

What are the equipment hire prices like there?

Where is the best place to buy gear? I only have a mask and snorkel at the moment.

You are probably best asking Steve as he has a few items usually at good prices and can recommend other places. Most of us just pick things up as we go along.

I think Wil was quoted 40 for full kit and tank hire at BL last week! So ask Smudge first as he also hires out gear at very good prices!

It is close to Womersley village, just along from Darrington, which is just down the A1 from Ferrybridge

They have a website http://www.divebluelagoon.com/

Hi everyone

I have managed to get a number of people at work who are scuba divers and may be interested in coming along to Blue Lagoon one evening.

What is a good time over the coming weeks to come along? I was hoping to give them a couple of weeks notice.

Hi,

We tend to be there from 5.45-6.15 pm, well we aim for 6pm but sometimes work/kids/traffic get in the way.

We usually kit up at the first kitting up bench in the carpark.

Trips are usually put on the Friends/Dive Trips section, there is a thread for 5th July. Generally we are there every week without fail. I won't be there on Tues 12th, but should be back on the 19th. If there is no advertised trip start a new post saying you will be there and others will follow on. If you're not sure simply PM one of us, either me or Dobs and we will soon find out who is going.

So assume we are there every Tues evening for the moment.

Does that help?
