This proves that wettness did happen at Flamborough!
A few of us did venture accross to flamborough yesterday. The sea was there, and in the usual North Sea style it looked a liitle too rough for us to venture out. We did observe a group of snorklers having serious sporting fun out where we wanted to dive.

Getting Wet! 756333 A quick re- think sugested 8 Acre was to be explored as an alternative - this was fun, at least we did get a dive in.

Its hard to tell from the photo's how rough it was, but it looks really calm on the pics? Just how still does it have to be to make it worth diving ? Presume there was a swell out towards the point?

It was diveable in terms of roughness, as long as you stayed in the Bay, once out of the bay there, was some sporting swell around a 1m in height. I have been in a lot lot worse in my time, but due to the swell the viz was looking very very grotty, so would have been not much point in getting in just for the sake of saying been there done that.

So we headed off to 8 acre, where the Viz was worse once we got in!!!! It looked ok from the surface.

So i can now say i have been to 8 acre and done that. chin Getting Wet! 99545

Hopefully we have Flambrough booked in for midweek in April, just check out the other post's.
