PostSubject: Dotty weekend!   Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:19 am

Two fantastic days diving for me up at Dotty!

Saturday...
Me, Jase and Rob - enjoyed a couple of deep dives.
Which were more like night dives... cause it was that dark! But the darkness just added to the super dive experience!!
Robs new puppies Bobby and Bella (and Jake) - were excepitional shore cover! Keeping all of us on our toes and they are very very cute!!!!
Then it was tents up for a night of camping!

Sunday...
The rest of the proscuba gang met us up at Dotty for a couple more dives!
Dive one - saw me, Jase and Rob head deep ... whilst Andy (accompanied by Euan, Jack and Doc) enjoyed diving with one fin!!!!!!!!

Dive two - saw me and Jase hunting for the missing fin...fortunatly it was in a safe place, right where Jack had left it!
Met up with Andy , Doc and Jack at the gnome garden.

Did feel the cold in my fingers whilst diving this weekend... although i'm not sure if that was due to the fact that my new comupter was reading a bottom temp of -1, or if I was just being a wuss!??? New computer back to Stoney Cove me thinks!!!!!!!!!

Big thanks to Ed for supplying food for our BBQ.... it was well enjoyed by everyone on Sunday!
Also big thanks to Jase and Rob for 2 days of fab diving!!!! Just kicking myself over the quarter of a metre that I missed! .... Can we do it again soon!!!!!!

As always had a really good laugh with the gang! Cheers!
Lexy x

ps. Andy - you got yourself that pink nose peg yet???

PostSubject: North Wales / Anglesey 31 & 32 Jul !!    Mon Aug 02, 2010 6:41 pm

All I can do is agree with Lex. A great weekends diving at the best inland dive site in the UK with some great people.

Dive one: On Saturday 31 July took us through the 18m tunnel where we turned to the right and steadily down and around to to the Gnome garden @ 40m before ascending slowly to the 25m shelf and back up to the entry point after completing our safety stop.

Dive two: On Saturday 31 July and we headed down over the shelfs and levelled off turning right in the opposite direction to the Gnome garden. We descended to 39m and were aiming for the crane jib but, unfortunately, due to the dark we swam right over the top of it !! We then followed the line back up to the Crane and along the shelf to the start again. Great dive and pitch black along the wall.

Dive three: - Sunday 32nd July, Jase, Lex and I all descended over the ledges to the Gnome garden. We then went over the edge slightly by the ladder to about 42m, a little to swim down to the right and around the head land for a short while before eventually joining the Gnome garden on the opposite side. I get the impresson Lex was a little narked on this dive as she wants to do it again soon. Obviously can't remember any of the dive and wants to refresh her memory !!!

Thanks to all who turned out, hope you all enjoyed yourselves and I'm sure many will agree with my opening comments that this is, without doubt, the best inland dive site in the UK.

I love D***Y...

Apologies for the late response. As per Lex and Rob fantastic diving at Dotty, Only Sunday for me but what a great time we had.

I would have posted earlier but have a new past time in the evenings.

Basically you use your own bath as a skill practice.
All you have to do is place your head (with Mask and colourful plastic peg) (not a wooden wood as they will rot given time)!!!!!!
And explore the bottom of your tub for any artifax available (bottle tops, old earings, scrubbing brush, sponge, mr matey, youve got the idea. Dont place a fin in as they dont seem to fit that well ive tried as practice. !!

You are now on the realms learning to be a free diver, just a liitle longer each night.

After 7 months and 2 days you are ready to be awarded the camouflage wet suit and colourful nose peg (plastic) to begin your free diving career.
I learnt all about it yesterday .

Excellent day as usual
Thanks to everyone in attendance and Ed for the delights for lunch.

Andy
