Today we took a trip back in time of 30 years no less to revisit lexys youth. (we even took the photos to prove it and the original snorkel).
Gildenburgh was the venue and unbelievably the sweet lady at the centre remembered Lex like it was yesterday. So much so she provided hot soup and bread rolls during our surface interval free of charge. Thanks to the lady for her kindness and hospitality.
So after the reminiscing and memory sharing was over we kitted up for the first dive.
Four of us today Lex, Jason, James and me
Dive 1
39 mins and max depth of 20.2, around 10 m viz
First visit to Gildenburgh for 3 of us and a good general tour of the lake. Highlights were coach, 29 lorries, bizarre tree, yaught, Morris Marina.
Dive 2
47 minutes, 19.1 max depth, viz around 10 m
Another good tour however 2 had to donn hood and gloves due to bottom temp of 10 degrees.
Highlights included lorry, double decker bus, canal boat, snooker table which we put back onto the platform after other careless divers had knocked it off. Yes and the bizarre tree.
Two excellent dives with fantastic company and lovely for Lex to go back in time,
Thanks again Lex, Jason and James for a great day.
